The annual recruitment and applications for Class XXXII began July 1, and closed August 12, 2024. The dynamic new class begins with the Opening Session in Key West on September 13-14, with:
#1: The Economy, Tourism, and Leadership. Newly planned exercises and experiences await the group as it commences for another enriching year towards creating a stronger Monroe County community. Congratulations to all!
Our annual summertime social recruitment socials are launched on Tuesday,
July 16 @ Pinfish Entertainment in Tavernier, with a rollickingly and spirited CHALLENGE being cast to kick off CLASS XXXII between alumni and the Board of LMC. Join in on the fun!
Following up on Wednesday, July 17, alumni and the public are also invited to the Key Colony Inn Restaurant and Lounge, 700 West Ocean Drive, in Key Colony Beach, of course, for further introduction to the LMC program.
Onward to Key West on Thursday, July 18 for our return to the historic Hellings Curry Museum and since 1940, home of the Key West Woman's Club, 319 Duval Street.
Bring yourself and especially community leaders who will learn how to apply to Class XXXII - and to help build a stronger future in our communities.
Spring augurs renewal, and also Graduation for the latest LMC Class. Building on the success of last year's inaugural GradFest-Class XXX, a departure from the traditional banquet dinner format conducted for 29 prior years, we take it up another level for Class XXXI - "31 Fators" - holding forth at the larger Marathon Community Park and an expanded vendor and activity day of recognizing the many community organizations which we give support. The Graduation/Alumni Committee began planning immediately as the new class launched in September, and set an eclectic and fun day for the entire community.
Commanding the spotlight is the Class graduation, beginning at 3:00 pm. The Fators have also been extraordinary with their class project to support Keys Kids Swim Program for school students with a $25,000 50/50 raffle!
Come early, stay late, come for awhile, or stay through the day.
Donation $10, Kids under 12 Free.
