Class XXVI Recruitments Begin on June 30 in Key West

Leadership Monroe County Class XXVI Recruitment Receptions begin June 30 at The Marriott Beachside Resort in Key West

Leadership Monroe County invites the public to any of three social receptions to introduce the program for the upcoming Class XXVI and meet alumni and Board.

The first Social is Friday, June 30, at the Key West Marriottt Beachside Resort 5:30-7:30. 

The next Social is Friday, July 7, at Faro Blanco, in Marathon, 5:30-7:30

The last Social is Friday July 14, and will be held at Cheeca Lodge, in Islamorada, also from 5:30-7:30.

Class members will learn about the 2017-18 sessions, and the scope, mission and benefits of becoming part of this county wide program which seeks to build relationships for constructive alliances among Florida Keys leaders in the public and private sectors.

Founded in 1992, the program is aimed at residents who are active in leadership roles in the private sector, government, or nonprofit community. Through a series of one and multi-day sessions, over a seven month period, topics examined include the environment and natural resources, tourism and the economy, government, education, military, the law and judiciary, emergency management, arts and culture, health and human services, as well as leadership skill development.
